Events Bear Bags Members decorate and stuff bags with goodies for the children at the UCLA Hospital Pediatric Wards. It is an opportunity to have holiday fun while doing something special for others. Dinners for 12 Strangers Prytanean is the alumni sponsor of the Dinners, usually hosted in February and March. The program brings together alumni, faculty, and students at home throughout the Southland for dinner and conversation June Luncheon The luncheon provides an opportunity to return to campus. Along with a special program, this event includes the installation of new officers, honoring those who provided service throughout the year, and introducing new provisional and active members. October Meeting A luncheon or dinner provides a chance to catch up with old friends and meet new members. Board members discuss their plans for the year. One of the highlights is a drawing that allows members to purchase highly prized seats on the main floor of Pauley Pavilion for UCLA basketball games. Spring Benefit This event serves Prytanean's top priority -- raising funds for scholarships for UCLA students. It is usually held at an interesting LA location (such as the House of Blues, Malibu Getty, Queen Mary or Magic Castle). Along with great entertainment and good food, there is also a silent auction with a drawing for items donated by individuals and businesses. Summer Social A summer event for the enjoyment of members and their friends and families. Past events have included The Candy Factory, jazz at the Greystone Mansion, pottery design at My Creation, and the Hollywood Bowl.
